Terms and Conditions

Last updated: June 10, 2026

ScamReporting.org (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an independent consumer-protection website. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, scam reporting tools, educational content, and community forum (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

About Our Service

ScamReporting.org publishes scam alerts, fraud prevention guides, and moderated community discussions. We are not a government agency, law enforcement body, financial institution, or legal advisor. Information on this site is for general awareness and education only — not legal, financial, or recovery advice.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Scam Reports & Submissions

When you submit a scam report or other content:

  • You grant us a non-exclusive license to review, edit, anonymize, and publish report details for educational and awareness purposes.
  • You confirm that your submission is truthful to the best of your knowledge and does not infringe third-party rights.
  • Submitting a report here does not replace reporting to official authorities (police, FTC, IC3, your bank, etc.). See our Get Help page for official reporting steps.
  • We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove submissions that are abusive, spam, defamatory, or off-topic.

Community Forum

Forum participation requires registration. You agree to our community rules: be respectful, do not spam, do not post unverified accusations against real businesses or individuals, and never share passwords, bank details, or full personal addresses publicly. We may moderate, edit, or remove posts and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Intellectual Property

All site content — including text, graphics, logos, and guides — is owned by ScamReporting.org or its licensors and protected by copyright. You may link to our pages with proper attribution. You may not scrape, republish, or commercially redistribute our content without written permission.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harassing purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts
  • Upload malware, spam, or automated scraping tools
  • Impersonate ScamReporting.org staff or government officials
  • Post content that is defamatory, hateful, or violates others’ privacy

Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may link to third-party websites, tools, or authorities. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that scam alerts are complete, current, or applicable to your situation, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScamReporting.org and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including financial losses related to scams or reliance on site content.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScamReporting.org from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or harms other users or the platform.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be noted by updating the date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
